Back in April for my dad's 50th birthday party we gave him Sugarland tickets and decided to all go together. Curt & Sally came down from Wyoming to go with us and Carl, Craig, Cara ended up not being able to make it. It has been raining every night this week so we were expecting it to rain...we didn't expect to get DRENCHED. They postponed the show an hour waiting for the rain to stop which it did for a little bit and than sprinkled the rest of the time but the damage had already been done. We were all pretty cold and uncomfortable but once Sugarland came on and we got up and started dancing around we warmed up a little.
The lead singer Jennifer Nettles is about 7 months pregnant right now I've seen them in concert a few times before here and here and always love her energy and excitement during the concert and although she was a little more mellow you really wouldn't have been able to tell except for her cute belly.
You could do a song request by making a poster and sending it up on the stage so they were going through some when someone send up a present of a blanket they had made for the baby. Jennifer was almost in tears it was so cute.
Such a great night and I really did enjoy spending time with my family listening to some great music even if we were getting poured on the whole time.
